XPeng's announcement says IDG Capital led the round, with Gaorong Ventures participating and Tencent and Alibaba providing strategic backing. Reuters describes both IDG and Gaorong as lead investors. The sources nevertheless agree on the core transaction: this was the robotics business's first funding round, it raised more than $900 million, and the post-money valuation exceeded $6.3 billion.
